Visit Digi-Key at Maker Faire Bay Area 2019

Digi-Key is again a proud sponsor of Maker Faire Bay Area. Being an electronics distributor, we cater to Makers of all kinds. If you need a single resistor, a development board, soldering irons, or EDA tools to get your project done, we have it all ready to ship out same day. Digi-Key has hundreds of traditional suppliers such as TE, TI, Microchip, ADI, and many more. In the Maker space a few of our suppliers include Adafruit, Sparkfun, Seeed Studio, Raspberry Pi, Kitronik, Lulzbot, Bantam Tools, Arduino, DF Robot, Pimoroni, and many others.

Stop by our booth to see what is new at Digi-Key and check out some of the latest technology from our Maker suppliers. We have some really fun and exciting demos ready to show you! The prize garage is a staple at these shows to give you a chance to win great prizes and products from Digi-Key. Ask us about’s design roadmap to find out how to take your product from concept to production and all of the steps along the way.

We will have our Resident Geeks in the booth for the entire show. Try to stump them – ask them about their new Another Teaching Moment videos. The Resident Geeks are a double feature of great engineering minds with a side of craziness. If you spend a few minutes with them, you will know what I mean. Ashley and Kyle are ready to walk you through the Digi-Key booth!

Don't forget to grab this year’s re-designed “Handy Dandy Boards Guide” that compares all the latest maker-friendly technology and add-on boards! Some of these board will now be available through the Maker Shed! We couldn’t be more excited for you to take some of these products home with you this year. Let your creativity run wild.

What is Maker Faire?

Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth – a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement.

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, hobbyist, engineers, science clubs, authors, artist, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these "makers" come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.

The launch of Maker Faire in the Bay Area in 2006 demonstrated the popularity of making and interest among legions of aspiring makers to participate in hands-on activities and learn new skills at the event.
