Cypress is a market leader in nonvolatile random access memory, or for short, NVRAM. Cypress offers a large portfolio of serial and parallel nonvolatile random access memory products. They offer two major product families: F-RAM, energy efficient serial NVRAMs and nvSRAM, fast parallel NVRAMs. In the F-RAM products, Cypress offers a broad portfolio of energy efficient and reliable products. F-RAM consumes only 30% of the power of the most advanced EEPROM and offers 100 million times the endurance. Densities range from 1 kB to 2 Mb, and voltages are offered from 2.0 to 5.5 volts. These feature SPI and I2C serial F-RAM products and standard SOIC-8, DFN8 and EIAJ packages. Additional functions such as real-time clocks and counters are integrated on some products. Cypress also offers a wide range of fast parallel NVSRAM products. Access times are as fast as 20 ns to 45 ns, with unlimited read-write cycle endurance. Densities range from 64 kB to 16 Mb with 3.0 and 5.0 V supply voltages, as well as 1.8 volt I/O voltage options. A wide variety of asynchronous parallel interfaces between 8 and 32 bits and in a wide range of package options are offered. In addition, integrated real-time clocks are available.
