As an example for this series shown here, the 6 A, PMU8318 products thermal derating curves show that at 12 VIN and 1 VOUT the customer can get the full 6 A of current out of this product up thru 105°C with no airflow. This is the sign of a true POL design, aka getting full power out of the product with no airflow up thru the top end of the temperature range. The 3.3 V out and 5 V out products operate at a higher power level naturally but they are still achieving full power above and beyond the 90°C temperature range with no airflow.
