These hall-effect sensors are also very versatile. Their omnipolar capability with high and low duty cycle options allows them to be used in a variety of potential applications with low power requirements and/or battery operation, including motion control, lid closure detection, presence-absence, metering, and displacement sensing. Stability is another standout feature of these sensors. A thermally balanced integrated circuit provides stable operation over a wide temperature range, from -40°C to 85°C [-40°F to 185°F]. These devices’ subminiature size is another of their primary features. The SOT-23 package size requires less PC board space, allowing for use in smaller assemblies.
