They provide overcurrent protection in applications connected to the high voltage power supply of EVs. With a rating of 1000 VDC, the fuses are currently available in amperage ratings of 60 A to 125 A (ratings up to 600 A are forthcoming).

The EV1K series use a bolt down form factor with a 25 mm x 73 mm cartridge body. The certification testing for these fuses uses the ISO 8820 and LV standards to ensure they are compatible with the automotive environment (thermal shock/cycling, vibration, and more).
