Genio 720 Gen-AI Platform

The MediaTek Genio 720 robust IoT platform is designed with generative AI (Gen-AI) capabilities and advanced multimedia support. It enables intelligent, interactive human-machine interface (HMI) experiences and is compatible with Android, Yocto, and Ubuntu, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including industrial, smart home, retail, and commercial use.

The 8th Generation NPU delivers full hardware acceleration for Transformer and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models. At the same time, improved memory performance ensures efficient processing of data-heavy tasks involving small and large language models (SLMs and LLMs).

The platform supports multiple display outputs, including LVDS (FHD), MIPI (2.5K), eDP 1.4 (4K60), and DP over Type-C® (5K60 ultrawide), as well as dual active displays, making it perfect for commercial displays, smart retail, HMI systems, and other interactive or multi-window applications.

Multi-gigabit, tri-band Wi-Fi®, combined with an optional 5G RedCap module, provides enhanced bandwidth, reliability, and continuous wireless connectivity for IoT devices. This energy-efficient platform is optimized for low-power usage, making it ideal for devices that need fanless designs or battery-powered operation.
