Microchip SAMA5D2 System-On-Module | DigiKey Daily
Microchip's SAMA5D2 is a small and simplified industrial-grade Linux single-sided system-on-module, or SOM. Based on the high-performance 32-bit Arm Cortex-A5 processor-based MPU, the SAMA5D27, this SOM simplifies design rules of the main application board by reducing overall PCB complexity. As a result, design time and associated costs are minimized. By integrating multiple external components, such as a power management unit and Flash memory, and eliminating key design challenges associated with EMI, ESD, and signal integrity, the SAMA5D2 can be soldered to a customer's board and moved to production, or it can merely be used as a reference design. And to help reduce development time even further, Microchip has been generous by providing free schematics, Gerber files, and a complete bill of materials.
