CO2 Storage and the International Fire Code International Code Council's International Fire Code (IFC) Overview

Section 5307.4.1(2018) of the International Fire Code (IFC) indicates that CO2 enrichment systems with greater than 100 pounds of CO2 and CO2 enrichment systems with any quantity of CO2 having a remote fill connection shall be provided with CO2 sensors where CO2 is expected to accumulate. Sensors are to be located within 12” of the floor.
