What makes a rocker a rocker switch? It is a switch where the actuation rocks, rather than trips, when pressed. One side of the switch is raised while the other side is depressed, similar to a teeter-totter or the back and forth motion of a rocking horse. Rockers are commonly used to directly power a device. They are available in many shapes, sizes, colors, and feature standard or custom symbols on the actuator.
