Energy storage systems enable time-delayed and need-based energy usage. This is critical for instances of power outages, but it is also key for optimizing the use of renewable energies. Typically, these storage systems have a rack architecture that is made up of smaller packs. These packs are daisy chained together to provide a seamless energy supply. However, with potentially 500 packs or more on site, it would be costly, labor intensive, and potentially dangerous to hardwire these packs together. Connecting these packs is critical to optimizing the use of modular energy storage systems and ensuring safety for anyone working on them.
