Welcome to the Murata KCM and KRM Series Metal Terminal Capacitors product training module. The following presentation will review the market challenges associated with mounting large traditional case size MLCCs in harsh conditions. Additionally, there will be an overview of Murata’s unique solution and product lineup, the KCM and KRM Series Metal Terminal Chip MLCCs. This module will also examine product test results which outline the advantages of metal terminal MLCCs over traditional MLCCs in heat shock cycle testing, board flex tests, and acoustic noise measurement. An application example will then be presented which summarizes the benefits of the KCM and KRM series.
