In summary, the LPC1700 series is based on the ARM Cortex-M3 revision two core. The Cortex-M3 includes a Memory Protection Unit (MPU), Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller (NVIC) and a Wake-up Interrupt Controller (WIC). Additionally, the LPC1700 series includes a variety of connectivity peripherals, four general purpose timers/counters, PWM blocks and Quadrature Encoder Interface (QEI). Analog features include a 12-bit ADC, 10-bit DAC and a Real Time Clock (RTC).
