Photovoltaic power generation method converts energy from sunlight into electricity directly using photovoltaic cells. The energy is either stored in a battery as DC voltage or converted from DC to AC in the inverter before it is sent to the distribution board. For both purposes of safety and efficiency, relays are necessary for cutting off power to the solar panels, the solar inverter, and the storage battery.
