Secondly, the ME topology delivers high efficiency to reduce system power consumption, simplify thermal management, increase reliability, and extend operating time in battery powered applications. Tight load regulation and low output noise performance meet the needs of a broad array of applications, particularly in instrumentation and test and measurement equipment. The MEF1 operates over the wide industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, without de-rating and only natural convection cooling, for applications deployed in harsh environments. Lastly, safety certification to UL60950 simplifies customer product certifications.
