VCAS Series TransGuard Varistors
KYOCERA AVX's VCAS series are multilayer varistors for automotive applications
KYOCERA AVX Corporation has expanded its TransGuard® series to include automotive specific varistors tested to Load Dump and Jump Start requirements. Designated the VCAS series, the AEC Q200 qualified varistors are designed to automobile industry standards and feature excellent energy/current handling capability. The VCAS series varistors provide bi-directional protection and are print controlled to include users in the product modification process. Available in voltage ratings ranging from 16 VDC to 85 VDC with case sizes ranging from 0402 to 1210, the VCAS series is ideal for CAN based module, sensor, module load dump protection and motor/inductive load transient suppression applications in internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), and commercial vehicles.
