Vinculum VNC2

FTDI's VNC2 is a programmable dual USB 2.0 full speed host/slave system on chip controller. This device features a dual channel USB interface combined with a powerful embedded microprocessor core, on-chip FLASH and RAM memory, as well as support for a range of peripheral interfaces, including UART, SPI, FIFO and PWM. VNC2 offers a complete USB system solution in a single IC.

The VNC2 host controller is designed to provide easy USB connectivity in a broad range of commercial industrial, automotive, and medical applications, from portable storage devices, cell phones, cameras to displays, industrial machinery and scanners. The VNC2 device has an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.

VNC2 includes an enhanced 16-bit MCU core and introduces support for user developed firmware. VNC2 provides users with the ability to customize and develop firmware to run directly on the device without the need for an external MCU or processor.
