The graph shows the current de-rating requirements of a typical 1 W high brightness LED. The current must be reduced at some point which is dependent on the heat sinking arrangements of the LED and the ambient temperature. The LED requires constant current up to a point between 60 and 110 degrees centigrade and the current needs to be reduced linearly to zero at 150 degrees centigrade.
