The low power, 1-2W DC/DC converters featured on this slide are also single and dual output unregulated DC/DC converters, and have 1kVDC isolation and greater. Some converters shown here are differentiated by higher DC isolation ratings of 3kV to 6kV. Many industrial applications require isolation ratings in excess of 1kV, and medical applications require isolation voltages as high as 5kV to comply with safety regulations. The PWR13xxC, PWR1726AC and NMS series find wide usage, most notably in medical equipment but also in many industrial applications. Also noted in the table are some models that offer dual bipolar output voltages of + and –.  With the exception of the PWR1726AC, they are all are capable of “output load sharing” or “unbalanced loading”. For example, for a 2W DC/DC converter, 1.5W could be drawn from the +5V output while the -5V output supplies 0.50W or vice versa. The converters listed in the table are generally available with output voltages of  5, 9, 12 or 15V, operate over a wide temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and are also offered with different pin configurations and package types in conjunction with varying isolation test voltages. For example the 2W SIP7 NMG series is a pin compatible power upgrade from the 1W SIP7 NMR series shown on a previous slide. The 2W SIP4 NML series is the pin compatible power upgrade from the 1W SIP4 NME series also shown previously. In addition, the NMK series offers both single and dual output variants, with part numbers ending in SAC to indicate that the part is a single output device. Furthermore, the 2W DIP24 NMS series is UL60950 recognized for supplementary and reinforced insulation.
