The TJA1054(A) first generation product defined the ISO11898-3 standard and is considered the “Golden Reference”. In order to support the increasing market requirements, the TJA1055T was developed. It is the successor to the so-called “golden device” and is fully compatible with the ISO 11898-3 standard [1]. The TJA1055T is offered in two versions with different interface voltages for microcontrollers. The TJA1055T has a 5V interface while the TJA1055T/3 has a 3V or 3.3V interface. Compared to the TJA1054(A), the TJA1055T features better current consumption and EMC capability. Furthermore, the TJA1055 is a pin for pin replacement for the TJA1054T(A).
