The basic MLCV parameters are described in this slide. Voltage and current characteristics of the MLCV are both typically expressed in logarithmic scales to illustrate the circuit operation. In a circuit, leakage current is below the varistor voltage and the clamping voltage is above it. Therefore it is easy to know how the varistor will operate in a circuit.
