The closest performing family member is the PNP-based LT1764A, but this is more a “general purpose” LDO while the LT3070 and LT3071 are targeted at high current, low voltage digital ICs, resulting in very different specifications such as input and output voltage range, voltage accuracy, output current, and PSRR; see table for details. The LT3070 and LT3071’s largest “differentiators” are their: fastest transient response, ultra-low dropout, low output noise, margining functions, output current monitoring (LT3071 only), Input-to-Output Voltage Control (VIOC) to external buck regulator, and 1% output accuracy (over line, load & temperature).
