While the OMD MLCC mitigates the catastrophic failure mode of the board flexure crack, it is possible to improve the device’s resistance to board flexure. Consider a standard MLCC construction with just a silver Palladium and thick film material as the termination. This is a very common construction for conductive epoxy assembly techniques.
