I dispositivi LPC546xx di NXP combinano il rendimento in potenza del core a 180 o 220 MHz ARM Cortex-M4, molteplici opzioni di connettività ad alta velocità, timer avanzati e funzioni analogiche. Le funzionalità DSP abilitano il supporto di algoritmi complessi in applicazioni dati complesse. Con 512 kB di Flash e interfacce di memoria esterne, questa famiglia offre la flessibilità necessaria per adattarsi ai cambiamenti dei requisiti di progettazione. La compatibilità entro la serie LPC54000 consente alla famiglia di MCU LPC546xx di fornire un percorso di migrazione per aumentare la potenza di calcolo e aggiungere la flessibilità di altre periferiche avanzate.
