I termistori NTC, o termistori con coefficiente di temperatura negativo, sono dispositivi che cambiano di resistenza in risposta alle variazioni di temperatura. Nei dispositivi a coefficiente negativo, la loro resistenza diminuisce con l'aumentare della temperatura. Sono tipicamente definiti con variabili quali il valore della resistenza di base a una temperatura impostata, di solito 25 °C, e i valori B, la curva di prestazione della temperatura rispetto alla resistenza calibrata tra due punti fissi.
