The table on this slide lists the four areas highlighted on the previous slide (also shown here on the bottom left) and indicates the Murata product options available to replace tantalum capacitors in those specified ranges. As can be seen, the ECAS series is a suitable replacement in terms of capacitance and voltage ratings, but also offers improved performance over other capacitor solutions. One of these advantages is no acoustic noise effects, which is susceptible in capacitors within the area three range. Furthermore, polymer aluminum capacitors exhibit lower ESR allowing for capacitance reduction, particularly for capacitors within the area two and three ranges.
