In summary, Murata’s NCS1 series comprises two input voltage versions accommodating the wide 4:1 input range of 4.5 – 18VDC around a 12VDC nominal, or 9 – 36VDC around a 24VDC nominal. Output voltage options, regulated to within ±0.5% of stated output, are 3.3, 5, or 12VDC. Packaged in an industry standard single-in-line format measuring 21.87mm x 11.3mm x 8.2mm, the NCS1 series efficiency is up to 8% more efficient compared to similar products currently available on the market. This helps lower overall system power consumption and also contributes to improving system reliability. The converter is suitable for use in a wide range of operating temperature environments from – 40°C to 105°C with derating.
