Reverse Voltage Protection is designed to prevent a higher voltage on the output side from feeding back through the load switch to the input side. This may occur if the batteries are inserted backwards into a product or if a power supply is connected incorrectly. If this condition occurs, the Reverse Voltage Protection circuit opens the main FET and isolates the input and output sides of the load switch.
