Another common feature on Load Switches is Current Limiting. Not unlike a mechanical fuse, a current sense circuit monitors the current flowing through the main FET and opens the circuit if a certain level is exceeded. This current level can either be fixed or set via a resistor connected to the external I LIMIT pin.
