OpenVG™ has many of the same programming interface nuances as its siblings because it was created by the same organization that created OpenGL ES and now handles OpenGL. The API has a similar client-server programming model with set parameters and enable-like entry points. Similar to GL, developers will want to cache objects in the CPU’s memory to avoid the performance impacts of loading new data. Even the individual functional calls and data types are the same to allow developers to feel immediately comfortable with the API.
