The i.MX35’s OpenVG™ implementation can not only give HMIs and other embedded applications a performance boost over software solutions, but it frees up a significant number of CPU MIPS to be used for other tasks. For instance, instead of having to choose between a smooth HMI and voice recognition, designers can do both. Similarly, this MIPS savings can allow the user to run the core at a lower speed and lower voltage for a power savings of up to 40%.
