3-Phase Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor Driver Lineup (3-Hall Sensor Type)

Brushless DC motors (BLDC) are used where higher power is required than what can be provided by a brushed DC motor (BDC). The suction motor on a robot vacuum cleaner as well as the propellers on a drone may use brushless DC motors, as these require more power. The product lineup for ROHM’s 3-phase BLDC motor driver covers both 120-degree and 180-degree commutation drives with products that have internal integrated FET (i.e. driver type), as well as those that drive external FETs for higher power operation (i.e. pre-driver type).
