The HPLE series of integrated RJ45 connectors provide another option. An additional common mode choke can be added on the PHY side of the transformer to attenuate common mode noise prior to the signal reaching the transformer. The common mode choke is a two or three line common mode choke, which allows it to be used in PoE or PoE+ applications as well as with constant source PHYs.
